Staying true to its concept of "less but excellent", CELINE crafts timefeless pieces that are modern, clean-cut and elegant, from quality materials that last a lifetime. Collection after collection, the French fashion house plays on beautiful contrasts: feminine yet masculine, dramatic shoulders with small waists, crisp trousers and flowy hems. While at a glance, CELINE items may seem minimalistics and basic, with more careful attention, one can see that each piece has an element of innovative surprise. This attention to detail is something the brand prouds itself and it is what its fans, who are stylish working women, yearn for. Comfortable and wearable are also the key to CELINE designs; while being luxurious and high-fashion, every item on the runway can be imagined worn by everyday women.
Disruption was predicted but far exceeded expectations with the 2019 Spring/Summer Collection by new designer, Heidi Slimane. It was an overhaul of the minimalistic, innovative brand that was established by Phoebe Philo; now, it is Celine, sans accent ague, a rocker-chic, sparkly, mini skirts and skinny suit fashion house led by Slimane. Similar to his designs at Saint Laurent, this collection featured mostly all-black looks created in light-catching sequins and 80s silouhettes- huge shoulders, legs on show and black leather ankle boots. Menswear was also included in the runway show, but was announced as unisex pieces that women can also enjoy. The dark, mirrored atmosphere was lightened up by a rasberry red sequinned minidress, which was later worn by Dakota Johnson on the red carpet. Slimane also debuted 3 new bags: 16, C Bag and Triomphe.
Fell in place between the departure of beloved Phoebe Philo and arrival of Heidi Slimane, "Fall 2018" collection embodied everything the former creative director had been doing for CELINE for nearly a decade: masculine femininity and minimalistic with innovative details. Oversized button-up jacket with big sleeves, clean-cut coat, tailored pantsuit, signature drapey trench coat and turtleneck sweater dress. Colors were neutral, as always, with main pieces done in warm browns, burgundy, black and blue with pops of mustard yellow and bright red. Details include gathering parts of a sweater with white/gold bangles, exaggerated collars on coats and abstract prints.
Hosted at the Tennis Club de Paris and against the soundtrack "You're All I Need", CELINE's 2018 Spring/Summer collection does seem like it's all that women need to get by daily. Tailored trousers, signature trench coats, elegant dresses...these are pieces that are chic yet wearable and comfortable: what CELINE excels in. Added onto neutral and lightly colored items were tons of fun texture: plenty of pleats, lots of layering and fun fringes. In fact, standout pieces include a maxi dress with long fringes peaking thru, asymmetrical pleated skirt and box-cut two piece set. Designer Phoebe Philo also didn't miss the hot trend of the year: sneakers. Models were seen wearing chunky white dad sneakers, as well as the famous glove booties and soft V-neck pumps.
Launched in the form of gorgeous pre-collection photos, every one of the 26 resort looks were contrasting, simple yet extremely detailed and chic. Masculine oversized silhouettes combined with feminine touches of delicate lace, or fun vintage cartoon top paired with a minimalistic modern pair of trousers. These are innovative yet wearable designs that Phoebe Philo has become popular for. By incorporating strong looks like a high-fashion version of a Japanese kimono jacket with a cinched in waist as well as trendy pieces like a slip dress, Philo captures the needs of every women. Excitement among fans also rose with the hinting of a launch of dark denim pants, after a model was shot wearing wide-leg denim with wrapped backless ankle boots.
CELINE's specialty extend from RTW and leather goods to jewelry and eyewear. That is why there are iconic lines from every category, including the Belt bags and Zipped wallets.

CELINE shoes are conservative but never basic; whether it's the asymmetrical cut on the Elliptic Heels or the chunky heels of the Ballerina pumps, they always add interest to an outfit. Most famous model is the foot-hugging Glove shoes, which come in a variety of styles including flats, booties and pumps.
Quality material and eye to detail are what makes CELINE bags sophisticated and sought after. While minimalistic designs offer versatility and practicality, the brand also throws in elements of surprise. Take the unexpected hues its Luggage bags come in, for example, or added touch of fur on its Cabas totes.
Along with its small leather goods, CELINE is also known for its extensive collection of eyewear. Its sunglasses are hugely popular for their classic shapes that never go out of style. Most sought-after is the cat eye shades that are sexy and edgy.
CELINE crafts its metal jewelry like they are pieces of art; each piece is beautifully shaped and finished. No necklace, earring or ring is obnoxious; instead, they almost have a vintage look that coordinate perfectly with their RTW items.
Wallets from CELINE speak for themselves: high quality, simple, practical and timeless. Each model offers a different style of wallets: compact, folded, zip-arounds and flaps. Most popular model is the Strap: short or long folded wallets that close with a thin strap.
